After School Programs at St. Augustine School

Chess Club: is run by Mr.Gallagher who teaches strategies and
skills to kids that are there and want to be better at chess. The Chess Club is for
kids of all ages that go to the school.

Bell Choir: St. Augustine children learn how to play handbells. The choir performs at various school functions.

Drama Club: A club for kids that like to act. They learn better techniques about how to act and be a better performer.

Forensics: Forensics club is open to all seventh and eighth grade students. Members work to develop their public speaking ability: selecting material, overcoming anxiety, developing poise, confidence, and control of voice. In addition to enjoying the camaraderie of friends. Competitions are held throughout the year against other schools sponsored by the CYO forensic league. Come join us on Wednesday afternoons. And speak out!

Extended Day Program
1. The program will begin on Monday, September 8, 2008.
2. Please open this form,
print it, fill it out with the days you want your child to stay and fax it back to the school at 914 941 4342 or send it back to the school with your child.
If you do not know in advance
the day / days your child will be attending the program, send a permission note
and payment the morning of the day your child will be staying. Also, for
those who are sending children on a weekly basis, during the 2005-2006 school
year, please make payment weekly.
3. Children attending the program
should bring an additional snack if they desire. The juice machine will be
available, as well as snacks if anyone wants to purchase them.
4. When school is not in session there
will be NO after school program. On half days (before a
holiday, first Friday of each month) there will be NO
after school program.
5. It is important that you pick
up your child promptly at 5:30 p.m.
